Prehearing Department:

Prehearing Technicians assist clients during early stage development of the hearing level of a Social Security Disability claim. They communicate with our clients, Social Security Administration (SSA), and the Office of Hearing Operations (OHO) to ensure the necessary information about our clients’ claims are received in preparation for a court hearing. Prehearing Technicians assist in getting a case ready for court by identifying file complications, request and process medical evidence, and obtain proper release forms. A high level of customer service is needed to maintain connection with our clients. Prehearing Technicians manage an individual caseload of clients as well as exhibit teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least one-year prior experience in an administrative support, customer service or related position.
  • Strong typing skills, including 10-key
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to express ideas clearly and concisely, and adapt messages to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook

Hearing Department:

Hearing Technicians assist clients with the development of their claim at the hearing level of the Social Security Disability claim process. They communicate with our clients, Social Security Administration (SSA), medical facilities, and the Office of Hearing Operations (OHO) to insure the necessary information about our clients’ claims are received in preparation for a court hearing. Hearing Technicians prepare a case for court by identifying file complications, request and process medical evidence, and obtain proper release and authorization forms. They work closely with the hearing attorney to ensure a client’s case is properly prepared for court. A high level of customer service is needed to maintain connection with our clients. Hearing Technicians manage a caseload of clients as well as exhibit teamwork.

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
  • At least one-year prior experience in an administrative support, customer service or related position. Prior experience in a legal setting preferred
  • Strong typing skills, including 10-key
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to express ideas clearly and concisely, and adapt messages to a variety of audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook
